It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of
you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.
People no longer have a fear of God!
The fear of God is deep respect, reverence, and awe for God’s
power and authority.
I mean to morally reverence or revere God, take His words
seriously, and put them into practice.
We have replaced the fear of God with the fear of man.
The question is:
WHOSE APPROVAL ARE YOU LIVING FOR?
Are you living for the man’s approval, trying to impress people
through social media or your friendships?
Proverbs 29:25 (NKJV)
25. The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the
Lord shall be safe.
We obey the one we fear.
Fear of man can be one of the most significant roadblocks to
serving the Lord.
The fear of man is responsible for keeping us from choosing the
fear of God.

Some people will even change and adapt according to what
they think people want to see in them.
It can get to the point where we become virtual
“shapeshifters,” changing our opinions and personalities.
According to who we are with.
That’s not freedom that is in Christ!
How can we be fully obedient to God’s Word if we are
concerned with what others will think about us?
How can we honor God with our life?
When God says Well done, Standing before his face is worth so
much more than any honor from people.
This is the bottom line of why the fear of man should not
govern us.
As Psalm 111:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom.”
